     Today is the last day of 2015, yippee, hip, hip, hooray!  We've made it through the first month of a New Year, through the ups and downs and we're here facing another day leading into a new month with a fresh 24 hours to make right any wrongs and continue to strive toward the goals we've set.  I know it's not easy but one minute at a time leads to one hour that leads to one day at a time!!

You can do it!        Yes you can!   

     The best part is, every day you wake up, even if you freakin blew it the day before, guess what?  You get a fresh 24 hours to start all over again!  (Smile)  And TODAY you will succeed, you will do it!

Change:  1.  to make different in form.  2. to transform; to pass from one phase to another.


     I know that we've heard this saying a million times, yet as simple as the phrase seems to be, it's probably one of the most difficult to implement.  Change is what we all want but it's the action of making change that keeps us from actually changing.  Change requires making a decision and sticking by the decision that you make.

     Change also requires discipline and it's not always easy to be disciplined, but once you make your mind up to do what you're passionate about you'll start saying things like "I can't believe that it's taken me this long to get started!"

     Be the change that you want to see in order to take charge of your destiny.  Nathaniel Emmons says that "Habit is either the best of servants or the worst of masters."  

     We must challenge ourselves and set personal development goals.  Helen Keller says it best "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."

"Affirm Yourself!"

Affirmation:  1. the act of affirming;p state of being affirmed.  2. the assertion that something exists or is true.  3. confirmation or ratification of a prior judgment, decision, etc.

Affirm:  1. to assert positively, maintain as true.  2. to confirm or ratify.  3. to express agreement with; support; uphold.  4. to state something solemnly before a court or magistrate, but without oath.

Affirming:  1. affirming or asserting the truth, validity, or fact of something.  2. expressing agreement or consent; assenting.  3. something that affirms or asserts; affirmation.



     Sometimes you may have to affirm yourself because the bottom line is you may not have anyone in your life that will speak positive affirmations to you on a daily basis.  I know it sounds good, all fuzzy and everything but that's not reality for most people.  Most of us have to get in where we fit in, we have to get it when the getting is good and in order to keep it good you must find it within yourself to tell yourself how beautiful, worthy, deserving and fabulous you are!  We must take a cue from the late great Michael Jackson and talk to the man or woman in the mirror and make a change.  Go for the gusto!  Reach for the stars!

"The Wheel of Dharma......"

     "The Wheel of Dharma is the translation of the Sanskrit word, "Dharmacakra."  It's similar to a revolving wheel on a cart that symbolizes the Buddha's teaching as it continues to be spread like that of the infinity circle, endlessly.......

The eight spokes on the wheel are the  "Noble Eightfold Path of Buddhism" that are Buddha's most important Way of Practice:



The Eightfold Paths are:


1. Right view

2. Right thought

3. Right speech 

4. Right livelihood

5. Right effort 

6. Right mindfulness

7. Right meditation



     The joy and beauty of enlightenment is allowing yourself to be open to the intimacy of truth.  One of the last teachings of Buddha was for mankind to make himself a light and for us to keep a pure mind with transiency a continual forethought by not being entangled with greed or impurities of the soul, spirit and thought.

"Walk Yourself Thin!"

Walking:  1. able to walk; ambulatory.  2. living; live:  3. of or pertaining to a mechanical part that moves back and forth. 4. the act or action of a person or thing that walks.


Walk:  1. to advance or travel on foot at a moderate speed or pace; proceed by advancing the feet alternately so that there is always one foot on the ground in bipedal locomotion and two or more feet on the ground in quadrupedal locomotion.  2. to move about or travel on foot for exercise or pleasure:  3. to move in a manner suggestive of walking, as through repeated vibrations.  



I'm reading a book called "Walk Yourself Thin" by David Rives.  The book is based on the program "Get-Thin-For-Life".  If you haven't read the book I suggest that you pick up a copy of it.  It's a small little book  with about 150 pages and talks about the benefits of walking your way to better health and wellness.

In the book the author takes us on a journey that allows us as the readers to explore a "wonderful new world" that uncovers the benefits of a thin walking "Exercise" program that's different than a diet.  Thinwalking allows for two things to happen: daily a pound of fat will disappear and a pound of new leg muscle will appear in it's place so that at the end of each day you'll be one pound skinnier!!

The premise is that you'll be skinnier without losing weight because a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat allowing us to lose a lot of size without losing a lot of weight.

I will say that this concept is hard to wrap your mind around in the beginning because the one thing we want to do is lose weight.  Our weight is our obsession, that's what it's all about, weight, weight, weight.  We get there with our thinking and we have a tendency to stay there, but let me tell you it's a mind set, and if you allow yourself to re-set your mind, you can experience true transformation but it starts with the renewing of your mind.  Think outside of the box!  Look at it this way, we've all probably done it all with every diet, fad, program, philosophy, etc; we've been there, done that and have the tee shirts.  So, for me and David the author of Thinwalking to come along and say that you can eat without going on some crazy diet and that you can "Walk Yourself Thin" you have to think I'm crazy, but I'm not.

First let me say this like the author says in the book,  I'm no doctor, don't believe a word I say and go to your own physician before you embark upon any weight loss program, walkinuany other thing that I may say or suggest,

CONSULT YOUR OWN PHYSICIAN FIRST, SEEK HIS MEDICAL, PROFESSIONAL COUNSEL FIRST.  

Now, that being said, I personally have over the last 3 months have lost inches, not necessarily weight by just changing my eating habits.  The scale has barely moved, I personally was obsessed with weighing myself EVERY DAY because the scale was where it all is, right?  I only stopped weighing in daily to keep my sanity, but by stopping with the scale obsession I continued with my changes and started noticing that I could fit clothes I haven't worn in years.  I also started hearing from people that I look differently.  I even noticed in the mirror when I would put on clothes that they look different so I know that that part of the program works.

Now it's time to Walk It Out!!

"Consecrate....."

Consecrate:  1.  to make or declare sacred; dedicate to the service of deity.  2. to make an object of honor or veneration; hallow.  3. to devote or dedicate to some purpose.  4. to change.


Unadulterated: 1. not diluted or made impure.  2. absolute; pure.




     Usually when I hear the word consecrate it's related to religion when we give up something and fully dedicate ourselves as an act of devotion to God.

I've been thinking about how I'm going through transformation with my health and body and how this is an act of consecration.

I believe by being obedient to transforming my health and body that this is a spiritual experience and a true call to divine purpose and God's true will for my life and by doing so it's holiness in it's purest form.  This is going behind the veil and answering to the call and purpose for my life.

Stay focused, find purpose, give your best self to yourselves and that will allow us to give our best for someone else.......

Mother Teresa says that "God doesn't command that we do great things, only little things with great love."

We are the divinity of God created in his image and likeness, holy, unadulterated divine human beings.

I am so Thankful to God that he has spared me and given me a chance to make the best out of my life and that means so much to me.  I am humbled by life and for having a life today.  I feel warm, delicious and all kinds of juiciness on the inside of me.

Walkers take your mark, ready, set, go.   The time has come for us to start exercising by starting out slow and steady.  It's always wise and safe before embarking upon any type of a work out routine that you consult with your physician first.

     I didn't know how out of shape my body was until I started walking a couple of days ago.  My mistake was that I didn't warm up first or do any stretching, needless to say I won't be doing that again.  It felt good to get out into the fresh, brisk, cool air of the Pacific Northwest and get my walk on.

"The Choice Is Yours......."

Choose:  1. to select from a number of possibilities;  2. to want or desire; to be inclined.



     I will paraphrase what "Joshua 24:15" says, Choose ye this day whom ye may serve, as for me and my house we shall serve the Lord.

     Daily choose to give your very best to yourself with a made up mind.  We have to get off the sidelines and get into the game of life.

     How many people do you know that passes on out of this life with potential and talents only to take their dreams to the grave with them?  Or, how many of us find ourselves in the company of people that only seem to talk about high school and what life was like back in the day?   The only thing good about back in the day was the music.

     Clearly time is continuing to tick, tick, tick, life is constantly changing from one season to the other. The question is how are we going to participate in this game of life?  Don't be sidelined, or voluntarily sit on the sidelines with a pint of bon bons watching the show like it's some movie.

     The choice is ours to make.  Choose ye this day. Daily make a decision and stick by the decision you've made as to who and what you will serve.  Make your life a priority, choose to serve yourself with the best of the best.  Give your body the best, freshest foods that you can afford. Make the choice to exercise your body and mind.   Make the choice to eat to live.  Our bodies are our temples, our physical houses in which our spirit, soul and minds dwell.  Choose to keep your temples pure and holy.  Be careful in the choices that you make, carefully select what you listen to, what you watch on television.  Be inclined to say yes to quiet time and meditation.

Desire change, the choice is yours.  Have a made up mind and think on these things: Whatsoever things are lovely and of a good rapport.

"Born to Create!!"

Create:  1. to cause to come into being, as something unique.  2. to evolve from one's imagination, as a work of art or invention.  3. to arrange or bring about as by intention or design; to do something creative.

Creative:  1. having the quality or power of creating.  2. resulting from originality of thought; imaginative.    

Creator:  1. a person or thing that creates.

Creation:  1. the act of creating or engendering.  2. the original bringing into existence of the universe by God; the world.


   
     How many times have we've heard that we were created in God's image and likeness?  How many times have we all at some point in our lives heard the scripture John 14:12 quoted or we ourselves have even spoken it?


 (John 14: 12)   Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who believes in me will also do what I am doing.  He will do even greater things than these.....


     It's imperative that we understand exactly who we are as human beings created in the image and likeness of God.  Once we realize that the words Jesus Christ spoke were meant to be taken as a literal translation and not figuratively, it's then that we can come into our inheritance as children of the most High God put in this universe to have whatsoever it is that we want.  We can literally call those things that be not as if they are.  We must understand that we have the POWER to create our world to look and be anyway our minds and imaginations can conceive it to be.

We have to start with NOW.

Today is a New Day, yesterday is a gone day and tomorrow is a NOT HERE YET DAY.........

EVERYDAY, I immerse myself in the word.  I am immersed in the word that liberates and transforms from an abundance of resources and materials that I've been blessed to have at my disposal.  When revelation comes, there's an "and suddenly" pricking of my spirit that lets me know that I've just heard "Truth" and I'm learning that when "Truth" comes "Wisdom" says it's to be applied immediately, without hesitation or procrastination.  There's no fear, worry or anxiety with "TRUTH".  

Knowing who you are, and what you're capable of having and being allows for a "Peaceful Awakening"of soul and spirit that surpasses all understanding.

I must apologize for the times when I've spoken doubt, worry, fear and anxiety.  I hadn't fully come into my truth.  But just like I've been speaking on the "Laws of Attraction" and how I truly believe that we can call what ever we want and desire into being, this new found wisdom and revelation is part of it because it was just yesterday that I blogged about "holding on by my fingernails".  I blogged fear, worry and anxiety then the very next day Revelation and Wisdom came and let me know that I have no need of either of those negative things.  There's no place in my life for fear, worry or anxiety.  If I allow that to penetrate into my life in any way, seep in from anywhere then I cancel out the:

 Love, Health, Healing, Blessing, Prosperity, Riches, Abundance, Beautiful Mrs. Fitness World Body, Homes, Millions, Books, Businesses, Wellness Coach and EVERYTHING else that I've been believing for and speaking out into existence. 

We have the keys to:

"Hold On With All You've Got!"

     I am going to define holding on and what I mean by holding on!  What I am saying is that after two months of eating right, making it through the holidays and feeling great and suddenly hit with change and additional stress I'm eating sandwiches with few chips on the side!!

I've been here too many times before and what I can't do is go backwards. This is what I mean by hold on with all you've got.

Now it's time to turn up!

I have to put my feet to the fire.  It's now time for me to add in the exercise component to my daily regimen because obviously taking on a job, dealing with loss and grief from personal relationships has given me additional stress and with that subconsciously I've found myself grazing a little here and a little there, now the grazing has turned into full blown meals.........

It's turn up time!

Right now I'm like the little engine that could......

I think I can, I think I can.

     Being optimistic and staying optimistic can be challenging at times especially when life hits you with difficult circumstances.  I've found that it's the things we work on daily that helps us make it through the tough times that present themselves periodically.  Optimism is like a muscle, you have to work at building it up on a continual basis.  It takes practice to think positively when you're surrounded by negativity.  It takes practice to be pro-active as opposed to being re-active.  

     I think that the Seattle Seahawks gave us the best example of optimism that we could ask for.  When asked of the Coach of the Seahawks at the beginning of the week leading into the NFC Championship Playoff Game.  "What is the team going to do differently to prepare them for their upcoming game?"  Coach Pete Carroll responded by saying that they weren't going to do anything differently than what they always do.  He said that the team pushes themselves to do and be the best they can at EVERY PRACTICE!  Coach Carroll went on to say that when they leave practice they leave it all on the practice field.  The Seahawks show up to every game as if it were a playoff game or the Super Bowl, and of course it payed off on the field yesterday.  The special teams players were ready when they needed to be and with precise execution gave a stunning performance.   As for the viewers it seemed to be luck, or a miracle but for the players they were ready, they were prepared.   Russell Wilson says in his commercial, that luck is a daily grind of practice, practice and more practice.  

     Same with optimism, daily we must practice being optimistic so that when the time comes (and it will) when we're tried by fire we're prepared to put our best face forward.  When squeezed like and orange the only thing that comes out of us is orange juice!!   

It's easy to give up and be a negative, pessimistic person.  It doesn't require much thought, or work at all, usually pessimistic, negative people give you what's at the top of the dome.  But, on the other hand an optimistic person will do their best to think things through with faith and perseverance  looking on the bright side..........

"Loyalty....."

Loyalty:  1. the state or quality of being loyal.  2. a feeling of faithfulness or allegiance.


Loyal:  1. faithful to any person or thing conceived as deserving fidelity;  2. characterized by or showing faithfulness.


Loyalist:  1. a person who remains loyal; esp. to a sovereign or existing government.



   
     When I hear the word loyal, my first thought is loyalty to another person, but now as I'm embarking upon a new way of thinking and doing I'm starting to realize how important it is for me to be loyal to myself.

Now, my allegiance is to myself and to what's important for me to have a healthy body, a healthy mind and a healthy spirit.  It's important for me to set time out of my day and dedicate it to the things that are important for me to be successful.

I know that for most people we don't have any problem pledging allegiance to another person, yet when it comes to ourselves we find making a commitment to oneself challenging and for the most part most of us don't follow through with a plan of action that requires faithfulness, loyalty and a commitment that would put us on the path of growth and excellence.

If we truly commit to being loyal to ourselves than we would take whatever steps necessary to see change and the first step would be for us to maximize our time by managing our time down to the seconds of the minutes of the hours of every day.  Take full advantage of your time and get the most out of it.  For myself I've always been a very spontaneous person, now in order for me not to be scrambling around like a chicken with my head cut off I learning that I have to have a plan from one day to the next, and with that plan comes preparation.   I now prepare my meals, my snacks and I even have a lunch tote that I keep with me so that when I'm out on the go away from the house I won't even fall into divers temptation by ending up at some fast food place talking about "can I get some fries to go with that shake!!"  I now have and exercise bike in my bedroom and I know that there are several shows that I will watch that takes an hour out of my day so I now use that hour to kill two birds with one stone.

This kind of faithfulness and allegiance comes from being loyal to oneself and I must say that on a deeper level than just being loyal to ourselves, we have to first know and believe that we are worthy and deserving of being our best self.  Self worth will allow you not to feel guilty about loving yourself and wanting yourself to have the best quality of life possible.  Once we fully realize that we are worthy and deserving we will demand the best of ourselves.  We won't be reckless with our choices for our bodies, we'll come into the realization that we are created in God's image and likeness and know that our bodies are our temples and just like a brick and mortar temples will have protocol before you step onto the grounds of the place, so too does our physical temples have protocol.  We will know and understand that our bodily temples are sacred, holy and unique.  Our body sanctuaries must be revered, respected and honored.

The bible says that "Wisdom is the principle thing!" and in all thy getting, get understanding.  With understanding we'll know what is required for our temples to function.  We'll know that food is fuel for our temples, not a gateway for gluttony and abuse,  We'll know the importance of rest and exercise, the importance of taking the time to read daily and practice crossword puzzles and brain teasers to help with our mental acuity.


All of these things are important to those of us that commits to being loyal to ourselves..........

     Sometimes we have to make ourselves rest so that we can be refreshed from all the noise and chatter that can come about from our daily lives.  It's an absolute necessity to deliberately find a tranquil space so that you can re-group and allow yourself time for reflection while also giving your body, mind and spirit an opportunity to rest and be at peace.

Without it you can open yourself up to the absolute opposite which can cause anxiety, stress and utter confusion.  When we allow our bodies to rest it puts our minds at ease and it also allows us to be better human beings.

Our physical bodies need rest after working out so that we don't have muscle fatigue, burn out or injuries.  We need to rest between sets when we are lifting weights as well it helps to rest with days on and days off when working with a strenuous weight lifting and work out regimen.

The bottom line is that rest does the body good!!

"Love!!"

    In order to be successful with any endeavor we embark upon it's absolutely imperative that we love ourselves.  If we don't love ourselves, there is no way in the world for us to love another human being.

     God's love is perfect.  If there is one area in my life that I could be granted a wish to come true, it would be that I am able to perfect my ability to love myself and my neighbor as Christ loved the church, and the way that Christ showed his love for the church was by laying down his life for the world.

    I'm learning to love myself enough to forsake everything that isn't healthy for me in every way whether it's for my body, mind, spirit or soul.  I'm learning to ask for what I want and need, and the biggest thing that I'm learning to do is to say NO, or I'm sorry but I can't, and to be able to do it without the insurmountable feelings of guilt and shame.  It truly is a process, it takes practice and it is soooo hard to do, especially when I know that the expectation is for me to say YES to everything, no matter what.

     Remember, put the oxygen mask on yourself first, that's the only way you can have the air you need in order to help yourself or anyone else.......

     When we show love, we share love.  Love allows us to experience the most powerful emotion of human nature that's supportive and whole.  Love completes, it's pure and understands.  Love is strong,  desired by all.  It's human nature to want to be loved and to love passionately and kindly.  Love respects, honors as treasure with a heartfelt connection of our souls........

     Okay, I have to write about the "Law of Attraction" today because it's REAL, I BELIEVE IT and it has been working in my life!!  I have to share what happened to me yesterday because it's just amazing.

First, I must say that when I first decided to blog about 3 years ago I said that I was going to keep it REAL, and have full disclosure, and in doing so, sometimes it hurts.

For example, what I'm about to share:

As you know, I was diagnosed with cancer for the first time in 2007, so for the last 8 years I've been dealing with sickness, surgeries up the wazoo and bills, bills and more bills. Well, because of that right now we are in a volcano, not standing on the side looking in, I mean we are in the damn thing with our nostrils barely able to get oxygen.  That being said, I have vowed to stay positive, keep a smile on my face and keep pushing full steam ahead.  I've decided that I would apply the principles of the "Law of Attraction" in the middle of the volcano.  You know how you go to the doctor and they always ask you to rate your pain on a scale of 1-10, well our financial situation is 100!!  So, I figured what better person to put all of this "Law of Attraction" and "SECRET"stuff to the test than somebody like myself that is one of the worst situations EVAHHHH!!!  I want to see if it really works if you apply the principles.........  I need it to work!

Here's what I'm learning, that when things are at their worst, in order for them to get better you can't give the bad stuff your focus, energy or passion.  You can't sit around talking about it (your situation) or them (if it's a bad relationship - people) you have to put all of your passion, focus and energy on what you do want.  That is the "Law of Attraction 101".

So, every single Monday for the last 4 months I've made 2 phone calls to get some work and every single Monday I've heard from 2 different people, "I'm sorry Lolita we don't have anything for you right now but we will put you on the availability list, thank you for calling."  Yesterday was extremely tough for me because bank accounts are overdrawn, and like I said we are in the volcano drowning, right?  That's what it looks like, and that's what it feels like, that's REALITY, right? Yes.

So, the first person I called for some particular reason said something I've never heard before, I found it to be a little odd, very peculiar.  I was told to "get my swagger" and to call someone else maybe they can help me.  Now I'm already starting to feel some kind of way due to my situation.  I'm already holding on by my finger nails.  In my head I can see the card board and sharpie in my hand because my next move is to go out on the side of the road and put up my sign that says I don't need a hand out but a hand up, "Will Work For Food and A Roof  Over My Head!!!"  I had it all planned out in my head what services I would offer that I know for a fact that I'm good at.  I was on my way to the Seahawks training camp with my sign to let them know that I can house sit, OI can cook my A** Off, and give a mean foot massage (ask my husband).  I even had a dream last week that I was giving out hand massages and I thought that was a sign from God to give out the best hand massages on the Planet because I do have "Healing Hands!!"  I was ready because I need a RIGHT NOW CASH INFUSION, RIGHT???

As I choked back the tears from this obvious rejection from the other end of the phone (and by the way I had the person on speaker) I could see a look on my husbands face that I haven't seen before, when he over heard the phone conversation, a look of pain and sorrow for his wife, a look of disbelief because he didn't know that EVERY MONDAY for the last 4 months that his wife would make these phone calls with this smile on her face and get rejected week after week while also dealing with my health situation.  Now rejection is my achilles heel, I DON'T DO REJECTION.  I make the second call, same thing, "I'm sorry Miss Jackson, I am fo real!!"  we have nothing for you.  I hang up the phone and the tears are now flowing like a river, Lord, now what?  Lord, Lord, Lord........

Like I said, I'm starting to FEEL some kind of way, and as a student of the "Law of Attraction" I can't allow myself to FEEL what I was feeling.  I want and need to attract the opposite.  I want and need to attract money, health, healing, abundance, over flow, etc; but I'm bottomed out.  I'm hyper ventilating, the whole time thinking I can't allow this, I can't go there, Lolita stop, baby girl FOCUS, BREATHE, what are you believing for?  What is it that you want?  What is it that you  need?  What have you already put out in the Universe that you're believing God for?  Where is your FAITH?  How do I tap into that right now?  The walls are caving in!!!  I go to find my dvd about the "SECRET", I need to "Change The Channel" in my mind.  Immediately, they start talking about the "Laws of Attraction" and how our feelings are energy, and how energy is a magnetic force that will draw unto us what we FEEL and are the most passionate about.  I said okay, okay, okay Lolita stay in your zone, no matter what it looks like, no matter what the bank statement says, no matter what you just heard on the phone, stay focused on where you want to go, and where you want to be.  KEEP PUSHING FULL SPEED AHEAD IN YOUR MIND, IN YOUR FEELINGS AND KEEP PUTTING ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER NO MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AND NO MATTER WHAT IT FEELS LIKE!!!  

Literally, less than 10 minutes later the phone rang and it was the second person that I called and they offered me a JOB!!!

It's less than 6 miles from my house, casual environment, and they asked me when did I want to start?  I said "tomorrow" and I showed up to work today, looking good, feeling good and smelling good!!!

The place is WONDERFUL!!  No stress, laid back, I know that I didn't get money in my hand yesterday as I wanted, what I got was more, so much more.  I got a "RIGHT NOW FAITH INFUSION!!!!!"

"Keeping The Dream Alive...."

I'm not going to lie, this sh** ain't easy!  It's easier because I have a made up mind, however; sometimes stress can be a trigger that will cause me to start eating just random sh** mindlessly.  For example, earlier today I found myself eating a bag of gold fish, why?  I have no idea, I wasn't hungry and the gold fish has been in the pantry for the last four months and I've never even touched them.  In fact, I was the one that bought the snacks for my son.  At the time I figured they weren't for me, and my mindset was you can't pay me to eat them.  Yet today, I didn't think first, I just started eating the gold fish.  It wasn't until I finished 2 bags that I thought what the heck are you doing Lolita?  Why did you just do that?  I don't know why?  I didn't have an answer, it was a subconscious thing I do know that.  (which leads me to this) 

I know that I won't blow my future on a couple of bags of gold fish, but I also know that a couple of bags of gold fish can be the beginning of a downward slippery slope and that won't and can't happen.  I can't be mindless.  I have to carefully think about every, single thing that I do daily.  I have to continue to plan my meals and stay vigilant with my thoughts and actions, it's just as simple as that!!

The other thing is that the goldfish didn't even taste good.  I've been so used to eating clean, fresh good healthy foods, that eating the goldfish wasn't even pleasurable, it was just filler.......just filler that's all!!  Those gold fish didn't contain one nutrient, not one phytonutrient, not one vitamin, mineral, or antioxidant. (the bag did say baked!!!)  

I'll tell you what a 1.5 ounce bag of baked gold fish did contain:  

* 200 Calories
* 2g. Saturated Fat
* 360mg Sodium
* 5mg Cholesterol
* 28g Total Carbohydrates
* 7g Total Fat
* 60 Calories from Fat
Coloring, additives, preservatives, etc; etc; etc; etc; (get the picture) 

After All That, Why Would I THINK ABOUT EATING ANOTHER BAG??????

"Spoonful of Laughter, Prescription for Transformation!!"

I went to a comedy club tonight and laughed so hard that my face was hurting!!  It's amazing how it all happened and fit right in with where I am right now in my life on my path to finding my "Personal Legend" like Santiago in the Alchemist.  I went to see Stevie Wonder at the end of the year in 2014,  it was the first time that I had been out socially in at least a year and it felt great!!  Afterwards, I immediately called my daughter and told her what I was feeling and I also expressed how things were changing for me and I indicated that I would search for comedy clubs in Seattle and that I was going to purposefully go out and "LAUGH MY FACE OFF!" on a regular basis for my health, healing and longevity.  Well wouldn't you know it that for Christmas I received tickets to see "Tommy Davidson" on January 10, 2015. The thing is my daughter had already bought the tickets when I had called her after the Stevie Wonder concert telling her about my new revelation and plans for the upcoming year!!  When I found that out you could of peeled me off the ceiling with the joy I felt receiving that kind of confirmation letting me know that I was on the path I was supposed to be on right now at this moment in my life!!  (I could go on about that FOREVER!!!)  By the way, Tommy Davidson was hilarious, and so was the comedian before Tommy.  Did I tell you that this club had 3 floors and on each floor was big, huge flat screens showing the Seattle Seahawks smacking Cam Newton and the Panthers upside the head??

I knew back in November that if I was going to be giving up my best friend FOOD, that I would also experience loss in my life.  I knew that I would go through the steps of grief giving up food just as if I would experiencing any other trauma in my life, so I must do what I can to fill that void by being proactive by finding a new playground and new playmates and new activities to take the place of the couch and my bed.......

Additionally, I'm also taking the necessary steps to being whole and complete,  Healthy, Wealthy and Wise by starting back my "Laugh with Lolita" joke of the day text.  I started that last year and fell off.  I knew then how important laughter was to the health of the Soul and body.  I didn't take the time to research laughter back then, I just acted on  the unction.  Now, I'm doing both........

"Water, Water, Water!"

Water:  1. a transparent, odorless, tasteless liquid, a compound of hydrogen and oxygen, H2O.

Hydrate:  1. any of a class of compounds containing chemically combined water.  2. to combine chemically with water.

Thirst:  1. a sensation of dryness in the mouth and throat caused by need of liquid.  2. a need for liquid or moisture.  3.  being thirsty, having a strong desire.

Dehydrate:  1. to cause abnormal loss of water from the body or a tissue.  2. to deprive a chemical compound of water or the elements of water.  3. to lose body fluids or water.

     Hello........, I'm talking about water today or the lack there of due to the fact that I found myself dehydrated with dry mouth, headaches, the side of my eyes were twitching and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me for the last week or so.  I know that drinking water is important, one of the first things people will say when embarking upon any type of weight loss regimen, or lifestyle change concerning the nutrients you're putting into your body is to make sure you're drinking at least 8 eight glasses of water per day.  What I didn't factor in is how the day can get away from me without drinking plain H2O.

I'm thinking that I'm getting plenty of liquids by juicing and drinking fruit water but that doesn't count toward plain ol' h20.

The benefits of drinking water far out weigh the alternative. My liver and kidneys will shut down if I don't give my body the water that is needed on a daily basis.  My hair could fall out, fingernails can become dry, cracked and brittle, not to mention dry skin, rough heels on the backs of my feet, lips would begin to peel, etc.

The proper amount of water for the body is a vital nutrient that must be taken seriously so that the skin will be supple, and smooth with the softest,, juiciest lips this side of the Mississippi!!

I found myself thirsty, thirsty, thirsty, thank God I didn't end up in the emergency room with an IV hooked up to me force feeding me liquids.  I was lucky to catch it in time in order to turn this ship around by making sure I continue to find balance in all areas of my life on my journey to wellness.

Remember, WATER, WATER, WATER ** HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!!

"Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success!!"

Action:  1. something done or performed.  2. practical, often organized activity undertaken to deal with or accomplish something:  3. energetic activity, an exertion of power or force.

     Steve Harvey says it best in his latest book "Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success!"  that "Our gift is calling.....Are we ready to answer?  I am, and I love it.  I love the fact that I don't have all the answers and frankly speaking there are times when I don't have the slightest clue as to what my next step should be or how in the heck I'm going to accomplish walking up that big hill, but I take the leap of faith and put one foot in front of the other and I do it anyway.  Many times I have to stop along the way, sometimes with tears in my eyes but I'll sit there long enough to catch my breath, drink some water and keep it pushing!  There isn't a greater feeling of joy and success as it is when you've finished the hill, then you can truly say to yourself, thank you, this feels delicious!!

     In the book "Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success", Steve Harvey engages the reader by giving them Success Actions by encouraging us to write down our reflections, aspirations and visions for our lives.

     I encourage myself daily to be the miracle that I want to see.  I want my story to be the next success story that I read.  Daily I'm taking Success Action Steps to discover my gifts and my way to a rewarding life that is filled with peace, good health and love....

     There's something romantic about being quiet with myself, for myself.  In Russell Simmons book "Success through Stillness" he speaks to the necessity of taking the time out of our lives daily to be still and meditate by taking deep breaths and relaxing your mind, body and soul, and in doing so you'll find joy unspeakable.

     I'm also discovering how important and vital it is to center myself and be grounded with me time and quiet time during this transformation of my body and lifestyle because without it I'd probably go crazy!!! especially in these early months.

     Living in a household where everyone else in here can eat what they want, when they want is sooo freaking hard sometimes. That's why I can't stress enough how important finding your center is. That's why I speak a lot about the books I read and not a lot about the food I eat or workouts I do because I'm finding that the struggle is in my mind and success has to be established with my network of tools that I have at my disposal so that when the going gets tough (because trust and believe it will) I can draw strength, wisdom and knowledge from other people who have written books equipping me and  motivating me to keep going.  So, when the doughnuts come out (and they will) and it's just two people in the car and I am forced to sit next to my favorite apple fritters or I'm sitting upstairs in my room minding my own business and all of a sudden I'm being attacked by the smell of bacon, and I don't mean some bacon demon, Oh no, it's the fine as hell, hotter than a firecracker, sexxxy hunk of bacon man!!  He comes in my room looking so damn good on that plate (child please!!) I could eat his mama, and he has that bacon smell good cologne on too,  I'm here to tell you that YOU NEED A PLAN IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL!!!  

The bible calls it being prayed up!  I call it being prepared, what are you going to do?  I now have an emergency kit just for those special occasions.  I carry my emergency kit with me at all times, I don't leave home without it, and if the bacon man comes in my house, I am prayed up, meditated up, peaced up, I can now woosah and walk out the door to walk it out or do a Taylor Swift and Shake It Off!!!

     I LOVE Anthony Robbins, I read all of his books and I have him on my vision board as someone I want to meet and hang out with for a day or two.  His story is incredible, how he started with little or nothing to becoming a mega motivational speaker.  I aspire to speak to sold out audiences as a beacon of light carrying the torch that's being passed on to me through and from Anthony Robbins that brightens up dark places by offering encouragement, hope and healing........

     In Anthony's book "Awaken The Giant Within" Mr. Robbins tells me how to take immediate control of my mental, emotional, physical and financial destiny.  In a nutshell Tony Robbins lays out a master plan to unleash the giant within me by mastering a few steps:

Suffuse:  1. to overspread with, or as if with a liquid, color, etc, pervade.


     Brendon Burchard wrote a book called "The Charge", in the book Brendon talks about the 10 human drives that make you feel alive and how to activate them.  Brendon also goes on to describe how a charged life is a lifestyle much different from most people.  Living a charged life simply means that you strategically manage your long term energy levels and that you engage your "charge level".  While most people are trying to get through life exhausted with low energy collapsing on the couch with no enthusiasm or excitement going through life day by day unable to gauge the quality of their existence.

     On the other hand a "charged" life is a life of purpose and intensity that's strategically created with inspiration, actualizing  truth and potential.  When I set my charge levels on high I assert myself to strive towards greatness fueled with raw determination to reach my destiny while overcoming insurmountable obstacles and opposition.  Living in charge challenges me to take command while assuming control, consciously in the present, not wavering or doubting but rather empowered,  attentive, engaged in full throttle pursuit with precision and laser like FOCUS........

     According to Brendon chargers are: "open and observant in the moment, future oriented, challenge seekers, deeply interested in and authentically connected with others, self reliant, creatively driven, and meaning makers."

     I met with my oncologist today to go over my numbers from my blood draw, the doctor came in the room astonished at how "remarkable" my numbers were.  According to him it's a miracle, but not to me.  Yes, I believe in miracles and I believe it's a miracle that I am alive today, however; I know and trust the God in me, the voice that says "Lolita, Take Charge of Your Life, Live Your Life Abundantly until it Overflows with Prosperity, Goodness and Health.  Lolita, Activate the 10 Human Drives that make you FEEL ALIVE!!"

"Living Through the Meantime!"

Living:  1. having life, being alive.  2. in actual existence or use; extant.  3. active or thriving; vigorous; strong.  4. lifelike, true to life.  5. being in its natural state or place, burning or glowing, alive.  6. very; absolute.  7. the act or condition of a person or thing that lives.

Extant:  1. still existing, not destroyed or lost.

Meantime:  1. the intervening time.

     I picked up one of my books today by Iyanla Vanzant that I haven't read in years called "Living Through the Meantime." The subtitle of the book is "Learning to break the patterns of the past and begin the healing process."

     As I was thumbing through the pages I realized that I actually have the workbook of the book "In the Meantime."  The meantime is a working time.  Iyanla describes the meantime as the "9-5 time of your life to bring everything together that you have learned, studied, been told, understand, and recognize about yourself and life."  Iyanla goes on to say that "the meantime is a time of strengthening the knowledge in order for it to work in your life."  "It's a time where you land when you saw it coming, did not know what to do about it, ran around frantically for a while, and finally said, "Okay! Okay! I don't like it, but I am willing to deal with it!"  Iyanla also states that "willingness is the key that transforms a character-developing experience into a soul-enhancing one" and "at the core of your soul is the essence of love."

     Wow! and Whoa!  I just shook my head in total belief that I came across the book at this particular time in my life because it just falls in line with exactly where I am, yet it's another confirmation that I am on the right path in my life.  It's no coincidence that this book is a workbook because 2015 is the year of me doing the necessary work to live my best life.

     In the meantime, the intervening time of the necessary transformation that quickeneth the awaking of my soul and spirit while thriving with existence is powerful, I am strong, and invincible.  I live my life on purpose with purpose while glowing in my natural state of absolution and truth!!
